1999-2009: HTS CELEBRATES ITS FIRST TEN YEARS

HTS – Heat Transfer Systems, a company in the LU-VE Group, has just celebrated the 10th anniversary of its foundation with an open day, which took place on June the 20th at the head office in Novosedly (Czech Rep.). During the ceremony a new building area (3,000 sqm.) was inaugurated. 630 guests attended the event: HTS employees and their relatives, suppliers, customers, and Czech and Italian local authority representatives.

“HTS is celebrating 10 years of activity! It is an important anniversary which is taking place at a difficult moment for the world economy, but we want to celebrate it as an expression of trust, hope and a desire to work even more and better in order to overcome this particular period – the Managing Director of HTS, Mr. Franco Fonzari said – ours is a brief history in which belief in the enterprise, commitment, expertise and a mix of different professions and people coming from different parts of Europe, have all successfully merged, especially after we joined the great LU-VE family in 2003.”

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Iginio Liberali, the LU-VE Group President reminded us: “The history of HTS has been a learning experience directed towards becoming a better partner for our customers: ever more appreciated by them and always more reliable. Today we celebrate the contribution and value of our fellow workers: the women and the men working for HTS who have made it grow. They are the firm! We also want to share this day with our customers, who, showing their trust in our products and services, have enabled us to grow and be known in the international market. Strengthened by this, we can look forward to the future with confidence, inaugurating the new industrial building, together with the authorities because we feel part of this country and we know that the institutions have always considered the needs of our company with sensitivity, and for the good of the community”.

At the Gala lunch and at the opening ceremony, Oldřich Ryšavý, Secretary to the Governor of Moravia – Paolo Petiziol, Honorary Consul of the Czech Rep. in Italy - Zdeněk Mokrý, Honorary Consul of Italy in Czech Rep. - the Mayors of the cities of Drnholec, Mikulov, Nový Přerov and Novosedly - Giuseppe Napoli, International and EU Director of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region - Franco Mattiussi, Tourism, Production Activities and European Projects Councillor of Udine Province - Maurizio Buora e Francesca Tesei of the Civic Museums of Udine - Don Sandro Piussi, Diocesan Archive Director of Udine - Daniela Cassinari Fonzari, President of UNESCO Club of Aquileia - Matteo Liberali, Managing Director of LU-VE S.p.A. - and Michele Faggioli, Managing Director of Sest S.p.A., a member of the LU-VE Group.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, HTS sponsored the “Gothic Treasures” exhibition organized by the UNESCO Club of Aquileia, the city of Udine and the Museum of Mikulov Castle (www.rmm.cz). The cultural event recalls the historical relationships between Friuli and Moravia, from the times of the Aquileia Patriarchy, describing the extraordinary cultural exchanges between the first half of the fourteen century and the middle of the fifteen century, in the age of Charles IV, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and King of Bohemia. The exhibition, which lasts until September 2009, shows extraordinary artistic testimonies (sculptures and paintings) and exceptional objects (like the “Cover of St. Mark’s Gospel, 1319) which come from some of the most important museums in Europe.

The now traditional “HTS Golf Cup” competition was held the day before HTS’s Open day.
This was the 4th year of the tournament which is reserved for customers. It took place at the Veltlinerland Golf Club, near Vienna. The friendly match, directed, as usual, by Mr. Alfons Küsters, export sales manager of HTS, was attended by 40 golfers from different European countries.

In its ten years of activity, HTS has reached a leading position in the segment of heat exchangers (evaporators, condensers and heaters) for railway-application air conditioning systems.
HTS has become not only the first supplier in terms of volume, but has also become the co-designer to the major production companies of conditioning systems in Europe. HTS is able to design and propose advanced heat exchange solutions, and contribute to the development and prototyping of the machines. HTS has a contract with the company which provides the air conditioning systems for the record winning TGV Duplex 2, the fastest train in the world: 574.8 Km/h!
But technological excellence is not only a matter of speed: HTS will also be the supplier of the new generation of hyper-technological project heat exchangers throughout Europe.

The work of expanding the HTS plant, which started in August 2008, is part of a new building development plan destined to house the machines and lines which will increase the production capacity of HTS, for the next three years. The first stage, just completed, includes a new industrial unit of approximately 3,000 square metres, which will be followed by a doubling of the premises with another 2,900 square metres. HTS now employs 200 people and a further 50 people will be hired within the next year.
