LU-VE and the WorldSkills Competition 2009

The WorldSkills Competition 2009 is an International event which takes place every two years in one of the participating member countries. It tests about 900 young professionals (under 23 years of age) from 50 different countries.
During the competitions, the competitors test their professional abilities and competences in the different work sectors of which refrigeration is one (Refrigeration Technicians).
The French selections for the Olympic Skills competition  (Olympiades des métiers) were carried out from 5th to 8th of February, in Lille. LU-VE Group, through LU-VE Contardo France, supplied the necessary unit coolers for the competition: 12 unit coolers (model SHS 15 N) for reach-in cabinets and small cold rooms.
The SHS N unit coolers, with air defrost, are fitted with Turbocoil® 2 heat exchangers and are equipped with Turbofin®2 high-efficiency aluminium fins with special turbulator profiles to reduce dehumidification and frost formation.
The competitors who passed the exam in Lille will represent France during the 40th WorldSkills Competition scheduled from 1st to 6th September in Calgary, Canada.
